IT’S A NEW PATTERN DROP! When I first made little BMO for my trip to Korea, I had a lot of people asking for a pattern for it. I had some notes written up, but the BMO I made for my trip was done in a hurry and I’m a picky hooker, so I wanted to fix some things that I didn’t like before putting a pattern out into the world! Without further ado, here’s the new and improved BMO!
This BMO is slightly larger than the first one I made, and I’ve made some changes so that the corners have a bit more of a defined edge to them. The side panels are oriented horizontally with the front panel instead of vertically like the original one, which makes it look a bit neater to me.
And yes, I know you could crochet BMO’s face directly in line with the frame of the front panel, but I’m picky and I like the look of a slightly recessed screen. So of course I made things more complicated for myself and stitched up a separate panel for the screen. BUT I also included an alternate pattern for the front panel if you want to spare yourself the headache! Don’t say I never do anything for you guys.
BMO makes a perfect bookshelf companion. BMO could be a great e-reader in itself! But BMO’s the best little multi-purpose bot and would never steal the thunder from actual paper copies. He’s far too mindful for that, and she’s too busy doing other cool stuff, like fixing a truck, or skateboarding, or being a moody film noir detective.
