They See Me Rollin’, They Hatin’

Katamari Damacy is one of my absolute favorite video games. For the uninitiated, you’re a tiny little prince, your dad is the King of All Cosmos, and one night he got wasted and lost all the stars. Because that totally makes sense. So now you have to clean up the mess and put the stars back by *checks notes*…rolling up everything in existence into a giant-ass ball until it’s big enough to send back into the sky. Because that totally makes sense too. It’s bizarre, unhinged, and a LOT of fun. So when I first started crocheting and found some patterns to make a little prince with a Katamari ball, I knew I wanted to get on it right away.

I rolled up with my hooks and yarn and got to work. Three balls of yarn and some magnets later, I had a Katamari ball ready to pick up all sorts of junk!

And of course the I couldn’t have a Katamari ball without a little prince to roll it up! It just happened that the pattern I found for the prince was the perfect size to pair with the Katamari, with all the right details.

Both of the patterns I found were generously posted for free by the authors! Click on the photos below to get them!

Go forth, and roll up all the junk to restore the cosmos!
