Details:

Using scissors, cut two small circles out of white felt (approximately 1 centimeter in diameter) to make the eyes. (Optional: I’ve found that tracing a washer from a 6mm safety eye gives just the right size for this!) Using a black permanent marker, draw on a pupil in the center of each eye. Using a hot glue gun, glue the eyes between rounds 5 and 6, approximately 3 stitches apart. Using black embroidery floss, sew a nose between the two eyes using overlapping straight stitches.

Using scissors, cut out a piece of white felt shaped like a dome with rounded corners, approximately 1.25 inches wide and 1 inch tall, to make Totoro’s belly patch. Using grey embroidery floss and an embroidery needle, sew three upside-down Vs to make the markings on the belly patch.

Using a hot glue gun, glue the patch onto Totoro’s belly. Your little Totoro is ready to plant happy little plants and trees everywhere you go!
