Yes, that’s exactly what you think it is on the backside of the cat. IYKYK.

This pattern is for making Snowball in particular from Neko Atsume, but this pattern can be adapted with other colors to make any other kitty of your choice!

Unless otherwise noted, all crocheting is to be done in a continuous spiral.

Head:

Using white yarn:

Round 1: Sc 6 in a magic ring. {6}

Round 2: Sc 2 in the same stitch 6 times. {12}

Round 3: [Sc 1, sc 2 in the next stitch] 6 times. {18}

Round 4: [Sc 2, sc 2 in the next stitch] 6 times. {24}

Rounds 5-7: Sc 24. {24}

Round 8: [Sc 2, dec 1] 6 times. {18}

Round 9: [Sc 1, dec 1] 6 times. {12}

Fasten off and leave a tail for sewing. 

Attach safety eyes between rows 5 and 6, approximately 5 stitches apart. Then using black embroidery floss, embroider a nose and mouth.

EARS (make 2)

Using white yarn, ch 2, then crochet the following:

Row 1: In the 2nd ch from the hook, sc 1, then ch 1 and turn. {1}

Row 2: Sc 2 in the same stitch. {2}

Fasten off and leave a tail for sewing. Sew on to the top of the head.

Stuff head firmly with fiberfill.

BODY

Using white yarn:

Round 1: Sc 6 in a magic ring. {6}

Round 2: Sc 2 in the same stitch 6 times. {12}

Round 3: [Sc 1, sc 2 in the next stitch] 6 times. {18}

Rounds 4-8: Sc 18. {18}

Round 9: [Sc 1, dec 1] 6 times. {12}

Fasten off and tuck in the end. Stuff firmly with fiberfill, and sew the head on to the body.

LEGS (make 4)

Using white yarn:

Round 1: Sc 6 in a magic ring. {6}

Rounds 2-3: Sc 6. {6}

Fasten off and leave a tail for sewing. Sew on to the body.

BALL

Using red yarn:

Round 1: Sc 6 in a magic ring. {6}

Round 2: Sc 2 in the same stitch 6 times. {12}

Round 3: [Sc 2, sc 2 in the next stitch] 4 times. {16} 

Round 4: [Sc 7, sc 2 in the next stitch] twice. {18}

Rounds 5-6: Sc 18. {18}

Round 7: [Sc 7, dec 1] twice. {16}

Round 8: [Sc 2, dec 1] 4 times. {12}

Stuff ball firmly with fiberfill.

Round 9: Dec 6 times. {6}

Close off and leave a tail for sewing. Sew on to all four paws.

TAIL

Using white yarn:

Round 1: Sc 4 in a magic ring. {4}

Rounds 2-6: Sc 4. {4}

Fasten off and leave a tail for sewing. Sew on to the kitty’s bottom. Then using black embroidery floss, sew a little “x” over the butt!
