NOTE: This pattern is a rough copy and is only my notes fleshed out. It has no accompanying reference photos, and has not been tested or checked for errors. Reproducibility and accuracy has not been established, make at your own risk!

Unless otherwise noted, all crocheting is to be done in a continuous spiral.

Head and body:

Using grey yarn:

Round 1: Ch 6, turn. Sc 4 across, then sc 3 in the last stitch in the chain. Rotate the chain and sc 3 across the base side of the chain, then sc 2 in the last ch. This will result in an oblong shape. {12}

Round 2: Sc 5, inc 2, sl st 3, inc 2. {16} 

Round 3: Sc 8, change to pink yarn. Inc 1, sl st 4, inc 1, change to grey yarn. Sc 2. {18}

Round 4: Sc 9, change to pink yarn. Sc 1, dec 2, sc 1, change to grey yarn. Sc 3. {16}

Round 5: Inc 2, sc 1, inc 2, sc 3, change to pink yarn. Sc 1, dec 2, sc 1, change to grey yarn. Sc 2. {18}

Round 6: Inc 3, sc 4, inc 3, sc 2, change to pink yarn. In front loops only, sc 4, change to grey yarn. In both loops, sc 2. {24}

Round 7: Sc 3, dec 1, sc 6, dec 1, sc 5, change to pink yarn. Then crochet the following:

Rows 1-8: Sc 4, Ch 1 and turn. {4}

Fasten off the pink yarn and leave a tail for sewing.

Fold the resulting pink flap in half downward, using the pink yarn tail, sew it closed on the two sides to form the jaw, tie off and weave in the end.

Rejoin pink yarn at the right side of Moo Deng’s jaw (your left when viewing facing the head) where the pink and grey yarn intersect, sc 2 down the side of the jaw, then sc 4 across the bottom of the jaw, then sc 2 up the other side. Change to grey yarn and sc 2 back up the head.

This will result in a final stitch count of {24} around the head when the protruding jaw stitches are excluded.

Round 8: Sc 14, change to pink yarn. Inc 2, sc 6, inc 2. Change to grey yarn in the last stitch. {28}

Insert eyes between rounds 5 and 6.

Place the clothespin in the mouth, and using strands of pink yarn, secure the clip to the inside of the mouth.

Round 9: Sc 14, change to tan yarn. Sc 1, change to pink yarn. Sc 14, change to tan yarn. Sc 1, change to grey yarn. {30}

Round 10: Sc 15, change to tan yarn. Sc 1, change to pink yarn. Sc 1, inc 1, sc 2, inc 1, sc 2, inc 1, sc 2, inc 1, sc 1, change to tan yarn. Sc 1, change to grey yarn. Sc 1. {34}

Begin stuffing the head, taking care to stuff around the clothespin. Continue to stuff as you go along from this point on.

Round 11: Sc 16, change to tan yarn. Sc 2, change to pink yarn. Sc 13, change to tan yarn. Sc 2, change to grey yarn. Sc 1. {34}

Round 12: Sc 3, dec 2, sc 2, dec 2, sc 4, change to tan yarn. Sc 2, change to pink yarn. Sc 11, change to tan yarn. Sc 2, change to grey yarn. Sc 2. {30}

Round 13: Sc 14, change to tan yarn. Sc 2, change to pink yarn. Sc 9, change to tan yarn. Sc 2, change to grey yarn. Sc 3. {30}

Round 14: Sc 15, change to tan yarn. Sc 2, change to pink yarn. Sc 7, change to tan yarn. Sc 2, change to grey yarn. Sc 4. {30}

Round 15: Sc 3, inc 1, sc 3, inc 1, sc 8, change to tan. Sc 2, change to pink. Sc 5, change to tan. Sc 2, change to grey. Sc 5. {32}

Round 16: Sc 18, inc 1, change to tan. Sc 2, change to pink. Sc 3, change to tan. Sc 2, change to grey. Inc 1, sc 5. {34}

Round 17: Sc 20, inc 1, sc 2, change to tan. Sc 1, change to pink. Sc 3, change to tan. Sc 1, change to grey. Sc 2, inc 1, sc 3. {36}

Rounds 18-23: Sc 36 {36}

Round 24: [Sc 4, dec 1] 6 times. {30}

Round 25: [Sc 3, dec 1] 6 times. {24}

Round 26: [Sc 2, dec 1] 6 times. {18}

Round 27: [Sc 1, dec 1] 6 times. {12}

Round 28: Dec 6. {6}

Close off the piece and tuck in the yarn end.

Ears (make x2):

Using grey yarn:

Ch 2, turn and sc 3 in 2nd ch from hook. Fasten off and sew on to head.

Hind Legs (make x2):

 Using grey yarn:

Round 1: Sc 6 in a magic ring. {6}

Round 2: [Sc 1, inc 1] three times. {9}

Round 3: In back loops only, sc 3, [3 dc bob] 3 times, sc 3. {9}

Rounds 4-5: Sc 9. {9}

Fasten off and leave a tail for sewing. Stuff with a small amount of polyfil.

Front legs (Make x2):

 Starting with grey yarn:

Round 1: Sc 6 in a magic ring. {6}

Round 2: [Sc 1, inc 1] three times. {9}

Round 3: In back loops only, sc 3, [3 dc bob] 3 times, sc 3. {9}

Round 4: Sc 9. {9}

Round 5: Sc 3, change to pink, sc 3, change to grey, sc 3. {9}

Fasten off and leave a tail for sewing. Stuff with a small amount of polyfil.

Sew legs onto the body, keeping the hind legs in the back and the front legs in the front.
