I LOVED Breaking Bad when I watched it. I was a latecomer to the series and didn’t watch until it had completely finished, and ended up binging all five seasons in just 3 weeks. It would’ve been two weeks if I hadn’t left town for a bit in the middle of that time period, that was how much this show had me hooked.
One of the best parts of making this little Heisenberg years ago was when my partner at the time had asked me for something, and I ended up shouting across the room “Hold on, I’m busy making a tiny bag of blue meth.” See what kind of fun, weird stuff you get into when you make crocheted critters out of context?
All these years later, Breaking Bad is still one of those rare shows that didn’t have a single bad episode to me. And yes, that includes the fly episode! I might be one of the only people who actually enjoyed that one and thought it was a good way to show Walt’s descent into depravity (also for the showrunners to stay within budget!).
Better Call Saul was brilliant too, where I’d later make a little Saul Goodman, and paired him with a shot that was just as tacky and cheeky as Saul is.
I may have had some regrets about the shot, but no regrets about making lil’ Saul! That being said, I’ll take making a tiny bag of meth over one of those shots any day. 😆
