I’d imagine if this iconic moment from Anne of Green Gables were retold in modern times, little Anne Shirley would probably smash an iPad over Gil’s head, and then lecture him on how he has no business commenting on another person’s appearance or touching their hair. And she’d still ace all her classes and cause just enough trouble to keep everyone on their toes.
