“…somebody to looooove.” I made a little Freddie Mercury, and I’m bringing him with me to London!
Little Freddie Mercury is the final addition to my London critter drop lineup! Find Freddie in London 3/23-3/26 and he’s yours to keep! When I was trying to think of one more critter to make for my trip to London, I knew I wanted to make either something Doctor Who-related, or go with a British music icon. I’ve made little Doctor Who characters before, but after making a little MF DOOM for a friend, music legends were still on my mind! It’s almost unfair how many different Brit icons I could’ve picked from, but Freddie Mercury was one of the first to come to mind with that golden voice. Who puts operatic vocals into a 6 minute-long rock track? Freddie does, and he’s an absolute legend for it.
If you’ve never followed my drops before, here’s what you need to know:
- Follow me on Instagram or Threads. Clues will be posted to both platforms.
- Set up a mobile alert on your phone! This isn’t required, but it’ll help! This way your phone will notify you every time I make a post, so you won’t miss a single drop! Instructions on how to set this up can be found here for Instagram and here for Threads.
- One critter will be dropped each day.
- Critters can be dropped indoors or outdoors, and will be in areas that are legally accessible. They will mostly be left in plain sight (ex. you shouldn’t have to dig through anything or open containers that shouldn’t be opened)
- If you find a critter, let me know that you found it! Please check in if you find a critter! Each one is tagged with a card with my contact info, I just ask for two things if you find one: 1) Send me a photo of your new friend, and 2) Let me know where the critter’s new home will be so I can add it to my map! I do this knowing that there’s a potential that anyone could swipe the critter and never get back to me, but it doesn’t make it any less disheartening when one goes missing.
No specific hints on where these little guys will be dropped, and I’ll drop them whenever the time and place feels right! Find one and it’s yours to keep! Happy hunting!
